Monitoring of battery energy storage systems (BESS)

The battery symmetry monitor UH 9830 from the VARIMETER series monitors battery energy storage systems (BESS) that are used in particular in the area of emergency power supply or power generation. The device monitors the battery symmetry with a centre tap. By splitting into two strings with the same number of battery blocks, voltage differences and thus the failure of a single battery cell or a single block are recognised directly and reported as a fault. With four switchable DC measuring ranges, the UH 9830 can be adapted to a wide range of applications for battery voltages up to DC 1000 V.

Mains frequency monitor UG 9443
Precise frequency measurement and fast response time

The mains frequency monitor UG 9443 from the VARIMETER PRO series enables fast and precise recording of the mains frequency. This makes the device ideal for frequency monitoring in production and generation plants, data centres and laboratory and testing facilities where high-precision frequency measurement and recording of measured values are required. The Modbus RTU interface allows quick installation and commissioning and offers additional monitoring and diagnostic functions.

Insulation monitoring for unearthed systems

An unplanned shutdown of machines and plants due to insulation faults can have serious consequences. By detecting such faults in unearthed systems (IT systems) at an early stage, the insulation monitor RN 5897/274 from the VARIMETER IMD series prevents electrical system failures and thus ensures increased operating and plant safety. The device can be used flexibly in AC, DC and mixed AC/DC systems. The main areas of application are UPS systems and battery grids.

Residual current monitor RN 5883
Reliably detect fault currents

The residual current monitor RN 5883 from the VARIMETER RCM family detects fault currents with DC or AC components in earthed systems (type B). The residual current measurement is carried out via the external residual current transformer ND 5015. An early fault message allows you to increase your system availability, for example in building automation, data centres, air conditioning and cooling systems.

Solid-state relay RK 9260
High switching frequency at minimum width

The solid-state relay RK 9260 from the POWERSWITCH series is characterised by wear-free and noiseless switching of resistive loads. The device is suitable for industrial applications with high switching frequencies, such as plastic injection moulding machines, thermoforming and packaging machines. The RK 9260 can also be used to reliably switch the short but very high inrush currents in LED lighting. The solid-state relay is immediately usable thanks to its ready-to-use design.
